Clusty.com Launches Free Site Search for Nonprofits, Schools and Universities

Free Service Delivers Branded Search Tab at Clusty.com and Improved Search Experience for Users

Pittsburgh, PA—Vivisimo (vivisimo.com), the creator of innovative software to access and cluster the world's information for better search and discovery, today announced that it has launched a free search service for nonprofit organizations and educational institutions. Clusty's Site Search Service provides these organizations with a free search box and clustered search results in a uniquely branded and dedicated search tab at Clusty.com.

Vivisimo developed Clusty's Site Search Service to help resource-strapped webmasters and organizations provide a world-class search experience for their visitors, while preserving their site's identity. With Clusty's Site Search Service, a visitor that searches a nonprofit or educational institution Web site is directed to a dedicated search tab at Clusty.com. The tab, which highlights the organization's name in red to help maintain brand identity, produces search results clustered in trademark Vivisimo fashion. Visitors can then navigate results by theme and easily locate information or discover topics that otherwise would be buried in a list of search results. The result is a better search experience for the user and a more effective, informational Web site for the organization.

"We have to balance our desire to provide a world class search experience with the resources we have to purchase and to implement cutting-edge technology," said Norton Gusky, Coordinator of Educatonal Technology for the Fox Chapel Area School District. "With Clusty's Site Search Service, we can deliver an enhanced search experience for students, staff and site visitors while maintaining our organization's identity and without paying or installing additional software,"

"Having emerged from academia and worked with many nonprofits, we know the resource constraints that face nonprofit and educational organizations," said Raul Valdes-Perez, CEO of Vivisimo. "Webmasters can now provide their users with an innovative site search experience that includes dynamic clustering of search results for easier navigation and discovery, while maintaining the branding of their site with a tab at Clusty.com."
