Vivisimo Expands Global Footprint to Answer Increasing Worldwide Demand for Clustering Technology

Company Expands Pittsburgh Headquarters, Opens New Paris Office and Hires Several Industry Veterans to Support Additional Corporate Growth

Pittsburgh, PA— Vivisimo (www.vivisimo.com), the leading provider of intelligent clustering, search and metasearch software for organizing search results, today announced plans for the expansion of its Pittsburgh headquarters in a new location and for the establishment of a Paris office to help support the growing worldwide demand for the company's award-winning products. Vivisimo also announced the hiring of three industry veterans to help lead customer support, community affairs and European operations for the company. The new employees will provide world-class support to current and future customers, and help nurture Vivisimo's leadership role within the Pittsburgh business community.

"Over the past twelve months, Vivisimo has emerged as a major player in the search arena with the introduction of Clusty for consumers and Velocity for enterprises," said Raul Valdes-Perez, CEO and co-founder of Vivisimo, Inc. "The response to these offerings has been outstanding, resulting in a number of new customer wins, substantial revenue growth and increasing overall corporate visibility. Our expansion, in geographic locations and outstanding people, will help us capitalize on the company's enormous market opportunity."

Leading Vivisimo's new Paris office will be Denis Harscoat, director of European sales. Harscoat brings nearly a decade of software-industry and business-development experience, including the building and managing of relationships with IBM, the European Parliament and the United Nations, to Vivisimo. He will help the company capitalize on a growing number of enterprise sales and business-development opportunities in the European market.

Paul Chilensky joins Vivisimo as senior director of customer support. Chilensky has more than 20-years experience in building and managing software service and support organizations for companies such as BodyMedia, Inc. and ANSYS. In his role at Vivisimo, Chilensky will focus on growing Vivisimo's customer support operations to help accommodate its rapidly growing base of enterprise customers.

Anne McCafferty also recently joined the company in the role of director of community and public affairs. McCafferty has more than two decades of experience in community affairs, government operations and workforce development. Prior to Vivisimo, she worked at the Institute of Politics at the University of Pittsburgh and was the founding director of the Human Capital Policy Initiative.
