Vivisimo Strengthens Management Team with the Appointment of Two Industry Veterans
New CEO Puts Growth Plan Into Motion With Hiring of Rock Arkie as SVP of Services and Support and Bob Carter as VP and General Manager of Federal
Pittsburgh, PA — Vivisimo (www.vivisimo.com), a leader in enterprise search, today announced that it has further strengthened its management team with the appointments of Rock Arkie as Senior Vice President of Services and Support and Bob Carter as Vice President and General Manager of Federal.
Arkie and Carter bring extensive management experience in several markets and technologies to Vivisimo and will play integral roles in executing on the company’s growth plan under the leadership of recently named Chief Executive Officer, John M. Kealey.

Formerly serving as SVP of Operations at iDirect Technologies, Arkie led the development of a world-class infrastructure to allow the company to grow from a 10 million dollar company to beyond $150 million. Prior to iDirect Technologies, Arkie served in various roles with FORE Systems, 3Com and IBM.

Carter joins Vivisimo after serving as VP of Federal Operations at Network General Corporation, acquired by NetScout Systems in November 2007, where he led and grew a $40+ million dollar federal practice with a year-over-year revenue growth of more than 50 percent. Prior to Network General, he oversaw the public sector practice at Plumtree Software, where he doubled the public sector business every 2 years with more than a 45 percent growth each year in a highly competitive market. Carter began his career in the high-tech field more than 20 years ago at Texas Instruments.
