Professional Risk Managers' International Association Deploys Vivisimo's Enterprise Search Platform
Pittsburgh, PA—Vivisimo (vivisimo.com) and the Professional Risk Managers' International Association (PRMIA) announced today that PRMIA has deployed the Vivisimo Velocity enterprise search platform. Vivisimo Velocity will power the organization’s new Web site, providing more than 30,000 members in more than 165 countries with a superior tool for accessing and searching the vast information resources available at www.prmia.org.
Over the past year, PRMIA searched for an upgrade to its popular ROSE (Risk Online Search Engine) utility in order to make it faster and easier to find relevant, quality information on www.prmia.org. Several members cited the consumer search site Clusty.com as a model search destination. After a formal evaluation process, PRMIA chose Vivisimo, the company behind Clusty.com, to power the new ROSE utility.
Vivisimo Velocity will crawl targeted Web sites, combine these searches with real-time news RSS feeds and deliver query results clustered into easy-to-navigate folders. ROSE will now use member preferences and behavior information, in conjunction with Vivisimo Velocity, to provide highly relevant and timely information in a more efficient manner. The result is an overall improved search experience for PRMIA subscribers exploring the wealth of data available at the new www.prmia.org.
