Vivisimo Joins EMC Documentum Application Developer Program
Partnership Provides Vivisimo Customers with Complementary Plug-And-Play Index and Search Accessibility from EMC Documentum Applications
Pittsburgh, PA—Vivisimo (vivisimo.com), a leading provider of search software and expertise, today announced that it has joined the EMC Documentum Application Developer Program. As a member, Vivisimo will receive specialized design consultation and guidance, along with access to dedicated EMC content management and archiving technical resources to ensure that the integration to Vivisimo's Velocity 5 enterprise search platform meets the highest quality standards.
Introduced in June 2006, Vivisimo Velocity 5 is the industry's first enterprise search platform that provides organizations with innovative flexibility and control of enterprise software with the simplicity and familiarity of consumer search. This partnership will ensure that joint EMC and Vivisimo customers will be able to maximize existing infrastructure by leveraging Vivisimo's Velocity indexing and search through direct integration to provide users of EMC Documentum applications access to content previously unavailable.
In addition, Vivisimo has created integration with EMC's Email Extender to provide re-indexing and search of email archives to support active archiving solutions for compliance and e-discovery applications. With simple drop-down menus, administrators can quickly set up Velocity to connect to EMC email archives. As a result of the relationship, organizations can be up and running without the costly and time-consuming customization required by other solutions.
