Vivisimo Introduces Velocity 5.1; Unveils New Velocity Connectors
Delivers Secure Connectivity to Enterprise Applications for Multiple Platforms

As part of the Velocity Search Platform, these content connectors enable enterprises to quickly and securely link to, access and index content stored in leading third-party applications and databases through Velocity's web-based administrative interface without the need for any intermediary software layer or middleware.
Seamless integration with Microsoft SharePoint and Exchange, Lotus Notes, EMC Legato Email Extender and other supported applications and databases enables users to easily search for information stored within these content repositories and view results neatly organized into clusters or topical categories for enhanced navigation. Velocity's new connectors respect all existing security frameworks by connecting to Active Directory, LDAP or other directory servers to restrict document access based on users' rights. The result is an enterprise search platform with the speed, flexibility and adaptability to access any and all content sources across platforms.
