Vivisimo’s heritage is in the information access space. Our founders first developed new ways to categorize search results as a research project at Carnegie Mellon University's computer science department. Vivisimo means lively, bright, or clever in Spanish. Vivisimo's founders picked the name to express their vision of optimizing and giving life to your information. They wanted to enliven the tedious process of cycling through siloed data and wading through masses of unorganized search results.
